Self-Paced Online Seminar: Essential Leadership Skills for Project Managers (18 Leadership PDUs)

$299.00

Description

In the current global economic climate, organizations have an increasing need for program and project managers to perform as effective organizational leaders, building high performance teams in delivering successful projects. It is very important that project managers demonstrate effective leadership in delivering successful projects in their organizations.

Successful project managers are those who practice both strong management skills and effective leadership skills. Leadership skills are not the same as management skills. Knowledge of project management framework and methodologies, as well as strong management skills can be gained through experience and practice. Leadership skills can be learned and leadership qualities can be developed. Effective leaders develop new leadership skills to complement those that made them successful as managers.

This workshop focuses on leadership competencies required for project managers to manage teams effectively and deliver projects successfully. The workshop covers the differences between project management and leadership and the leadership styles for project managers. Participants perform exercises to develop leadership in project management, including interpersonal communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills, as well as stakeholder expectations management and the leadership competencies in motivating and inspiring teams. Participants will assess their leadership skills and evaluate their leadership styles. Then participants will start developing a leadership development plan that will take them to an improved (higher) level of leadership competency.

Earn: 18 Technical (PM) PDUs!

Earn 18 PDUs for reading and reviewing course materials. Upon completion of the seminar (within six months from registration date), submit your answers to a short quiz (15 multiple-choice questions) and 18 PDUs will be reported in PMI's CCRS for you so you do not have to report PDUs yourself.
